Mario Party Series Marches Past 50 Million in Sales

In the latest financial results, it was revealed that Super Mario Party sold 3.72 million for the quarter and is currently at 13.82 million worldwide. This places the series at over 50 million sales.

This series began under the development of Hudson Soft; however, after Mario Party 8, several employees left to join Nintendo subsidiary, ND Cube, developers of Wii Party. Hudson Soft would be absorbed into Konami while ND Cube would take over the series, starting with Mario Party 9 in 2012. Their most recent games were Super Mario Party & Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics.

Dave’s first Nintendo platform was the GameCube when he was age 7; however, he was introduced to Nintendo through Duck Hunt on NES.
